Our preschool classes offer our littles with a basic dance foundation. Dancers are introduced to ballet and tap as well as skills that develop their balance, rhythm, and coordination, all while having FUN!
Known as the foundation of all dance, ballet classes will focus on basic ballet technique, proper body alignment, balance, proper extension, and French terminology. As each class level deepens, classes will continue to focus on basic technique but will also develop movement sequences and musicality.
En pointe (pointe) means "on the tips of the toes." Pointe focuses on body alignment, placement, and how process of transitioning to and from en pointe. Dancer who have gained an appropriate level of ballet, along with suitable strength and technique may qualify to join pointe. Instructor approval is required before enrollment.
Leaps & Turns-
The focus of this class is just what the name suggests! We will work on strengthening the core which will allow for improved balance and power. Correct spotting will be taught so dancers will not get "dizzy" while turning as well as deep stretching to improve flexibitly. If you want to leap higher and turn stronger this is the class for you!
Tap is a form of dance that focuses on making rhythmic sounds with the feet on the floor. As dancers progress in level, they will learn more intricate combinations.
Jazz classes will focus on learning proper dance technique such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality and developing rhythms and patterns. Students will be exposed to various styles of jazz such as Broadway and Contemporary to help develop a well-rounded dancer.
Hip-Hop is a choreographed style of street dance. Consisting of popping, m locking, breaking, and improvising, dancers will get to express themselves in this fast passed class. Our more advanced classes will learn hip-hop tricks and partner work.
